SOC 2 Type II, no exceptions · 25 years in digital signage · Built and supported in-house

Trusted by leading enterprises, banks, airports and universities

Why MediaTile

A Stratacache alternative every stakeholder can sign off on

MediaTile is one platform on one codebase, designed, built and supported by our own in-house team for 25 years. Because we build everything ourselves, we can rapidly develop the integration a large enterprise network needs.

For IT and Security

  • Pull-only architecture. Every connection, including real-time commands, is initiated by the player. No inbound firewall ports.
  • SOC 2 Type II, no exceptions, and independent penetration testing with no critical or high-risk findings.
  • SAML 2.0 single sign-on, enforced MFA with passkeys, and permissions down to individual player commands.
  • Full audit trail you can export or feed to your SIEM.

For Communications

  • Optional approval before playlists go live. Changed playlists automatically return for re-approval.
  • Unlimited playlists, targeted your way. Target by location, tag or schedule, or use Player Location-Based Playlists (Enterprise) so one playlist with location placeholders serves many locations.
  • Emergency alerts from official CAP feeds, targeted by location and translated into 22+ languages (Enterprise).
  • English and French interface, with AI tools for writing, translation and images (Enterprise).

For Operations

  • Keep your existing players and migrate them remotely wherever you grant access.
  • Tile AI flags problems early: disk space, version drift, sync errors and offline patterns (Enterprise).
  • Player status in your dashboard and email alerts to your own technicians.
  • Nothing to host. Cloud software on AWS, with every new release included.

Playlists Your Way

The right content at every location

Create as many playlists as you need and group your players by location or any criteria you choose. Target content by tag with tag-based playlists or by time with Smart Scheduling. For campaigns that run across many locations, Player Location-Based Playlists (Enterprise) add a convenient option: one playlist with location placeholders.

  • Unlimited playlists. Create and schedule as many as your network needs.
  • Targeting your way by location, tag, player group or schedule.
  • Optional Player Location-Based Playlists (Enterprise). Location placeholders let one playlist carry shared content everywhere, plus content that plays only at the locations you assign.

Protect Your Hardware Investment

Keep the players you already own

Frost & Sullivan's 2025 Frost Radar noted that MediaTile's hardware-agnostic approach lets organizations "retrofit existing deployments, preserving prior investments in hardware." For a network of a thousand screens or more, that is the difference between a software project and a capital project.

  • Enterprise networks typically run Windows, Linux or Android players. MediaTile supports all three, including Windows 10 and 11.
  • Where you grant remote access, our team migrates your existing players remotely.
  • BrightSign players (OS 9.0 or later) switch to MediaTile without a hardware change.
  • Also supports Samsung Tizen and LG webOS displays, Raspberry Pi and Amazon Fire Stick.
  • No proprietary player required.

New in MediaTile V9

Enterprise controls built into MediaTile V9

MediaTile V9 has shipped 15 releases since May 2026, with general availability in June. These are the capabilities enterprise teams ask about most.

  • Tile AI fleet triage

Continuous anomaly triage across every player, watching disk space, version drift, playable content, sync errors, offline patterns and recovery state. When you ask Tile AI to take an action, its reply ends with an Action Ledger of what actually happened. Enterprise plan.

  • Management API for bulk rollout

Approve waiting players and assign playlists to individual players or whole groups through the API, so large deployments do not mean clicking through hundreds of screens.

  • Approval workflow

Playlists are flagged for re-approval whenever their content changes. Unpublished changes are clearly marked, and manual publishes are recorded in the audit log.

  • Version history and rollback

Compare and roll back versions in the Layout Designer, Smart Lists and AI widgets.

  • Soft delete and restore

Deleted items stop playing immediately but can be restored within a configurable retention window, 30 days by default.

  • Event triggers

Run actions automatically when data conditions change, an API check fires or an alert arrives, with optional date, time and weekday windows.

  • Emergency alerts

Official CAP feeds, per-location targeting with on/off controls, automatic translation into 22+ languages, and the most severe active alert takes priority. Enterprise plan.

  • Account security

SAML 2.0 single sign-on, passkeys, MFA you can require account-wide, password policies and automatic lockout of inactive accounts.

  • Network connectivity test

Check ping, WebRTC, upload and download performance against player devices from a web browser, for pre-deployment validation and remote-site triage.

  • AI Widgets

AI Content, AI Weather, AI Data and AI Embed. Describe what you need and AI Content creates it, ready to place in your layouts, with version history built in. Enterprise plan.

  • Layout Designer with animation

Build layouts, including multi-zone layouts, and bring them to life with a range of animations, using assets from your MediaTile library.

  • Bring your own assets

Create assets in the design tools your team already uses, or in Canva, and bring them into the MediaTile library for use in any layout.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions: MediaTile as a Stratacache alternative

Why do enterprises choose MediaTile as a Stratacache alternative?

MediaTile is one cloud platform, built and supported in-house for 25 years. It runs on the players enterprises already own, uses a pull-only architecture that needs no inbound firewall ports, and is independently audited to SOC 2 Type II with no exceptions. Migration starts with a free assessment and is AI-assisted, with remote support included.

Can we keep our existing Stratacache media players?

Often, yes. Enterprise networks typically run Windows, Linux or Android players, and MediaTile supports all three, along with BrightSign, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Raspberry Pi and Amazon Fire Stick. Where you grant remote access, we migrate your players remotely. Your free migration assessment confirms which models carry over.

Can MediaTile import our Stratacache content?

Your images and videos move across. Proprietary scripts and templates do not transfer between platforms, so your structure is rebuilt in MediaTile, and that is where Tile AI helps on the Enterprise plan: it can build groups and playlists from a prompt, an image or a document such as an exported player list or schedule.

How do you migrate a network of 1,000 screens or more?

Simply, and at your pace. Start with a free migration assessment and written plan, we help you set up with remote support (and Tile AI on the Enterprise plan), and then we switch your players remotely in groups wherever you grant access. Your screens keep playing until they switch.

How long does it take to switch from Stratacache?

Your free migration assessment gives you a written plan and timeline for your network. Where you grant remote access, we switch your screens for you, in groups at your pace, and they keep playing until they switch.

Can we keep our ActiVia for Media players?

Often, yes. ActiVia for Media has run on Stratacache Spectra players, which use Windows or Linux, and on BrightSign players. MediaTile runs on Windows 10 and 11, Linux and BrightSign (OS 9.0 or later), and your free assessment confirms which of your players carry over.

What does it cost to switch from Stratacache?

The assessment is free, there are no setup fees, and you keep the players that carry over. MediaTile is one annual subscription per display that includes hosting, updates, remote support and training. Request a quote for your network.

What does the free migration assessment include?

We review your players, content, data feeds, integrations and user structure, and give you a written plan and timeline for moving to MediaTile. There is no cost and no obligation.

How do MediaTile players connect? Do we need to open firewall ports?

No inbound ports are needed. MediaTile's architecture is pull-only: every connection is initiated by the player and nothing is ever pushed from the cloud. Real-time commands travel over a real-time (RTC) connection that the player itself opens. If the network drops, players keep playing from local storage.

Do we need a separate playlist for every location?

Not unless you want one. You can create as many playlists as you need and target them by location, tag, player group or schedule. When one campaign runs across many locations, Player Location-Based Playlists on the Enterprise plan let a single playlist use location placeholders, so shared content plays everywhere and local content plays only where you assign it. That saves maintaining near-identical copies.

Can we use content created in our own design tools?

Yes. Create assets in the tools your team already uses, or in Canva, and bring them into the MediaTile library. From there you can use them in the Layout Designer with a range of animations, or create new content by prompt with AI Widgets on the Enterprise plan.

How do you stop a mistake from reaching thousands of screens?

Several layers work together. Permissions limit who can change what and where. Playlists can require approval, and they return for re-approval whenever their content changes. Version history lets you roll back layouts and AI widgets, and deleted items can be restored within a configurable window. Every change is recorded in the audit trail.

Is MediaTile secure enough for our IT team?

Corum Digital Corporation, MediaTile's parent, holds a SOC 2 Type II report (Security) with an unqualified opinion and no exceptions, available under NDA with a bridge letter. Data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, and independent penetration testing found no critical or high-risk issues.

Where is our data stored?

On AWS. Your content is stored in the region that matches your organization: Canada Central for Canadian customers and US East for US customers. Account management and some metadata may be processed in either region. If you enable optional integrations or AI features, some processing may take place outside your home country, and AI can be switched off.

Does MediaTile support single sign-on and granular permissions?

Yes. The Enterprise plan includes SAML 2.0 single sign-on. All accounts support MFA with authenticator apps or passkeys, and admins can require it for every user. Permissions can be limited by location, player command, playlist, template and feature.

Can MediaTile integrate with our systems?

Yes. MediaTile includes a management REST API and connectors for SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Excel, CSV, SFTP, Canva, Hivestack and Vistar. Because our engineering team is in-house, we can rapidly build the integration a large enterprise network needs.

How is MediaTile priced?

MediaTile Enterprise is one annual subscription per display, with hosting, updates, remote support, unlimited training, unlimited users and unlimited storage included, and no setup fees. Contact us for a quote built around your network.

What support do enterprise customers get?

MediaTile is built and supported by our own in-house team. Enterprise customers reach a live support agent, and remote support and unlimited training are included with your subscription, during migration and after.

Is MediaTile available in French?

Yes. The MediaTile interface is available in English and French.
