Before you buy: DVQ questions answered

Common questions from installers, AV integrators, and facility managers evaluating the DVQ Series.

Match pitch to viewing distance. Viewers within 2–4 metres: DVQ 0.7 (0.78mm), 768×432 pixels per panel, sharpest image in the range. Viewers at 4–8 metres: DVQ 1.2 (1.25mm), best balance of resolution and cost. Viewers beyond 6 metres: DVQ 1.5 (1.56mm), most power-efficient. Choosing too fine a pitch for a large room wastes budget. Choosing too coarse for a close-viewing environment produces visible pixels.
COB stands for Chip-on-Board. The DVQ uses COB 1R1G1B Flip Chip LEDs: red, green, and blue chips bonded directly onto the circuit board with no wire connections. Compared to SMD LEDs, COB is significantly more impact-resistant (rated to 10kg), eliminates the single-LED wire-bond failure mode, delivers more uniform brightness across the panel, and enables the 0.78mm pitch that SMD cannot reliably achieve at commercial scale.
Yes. All three DVQ models support front-access installation and maintenance. The modular cabinet gives independent front access to the power supply, HUB board, and receiving card. Service or replace any component without removing the display from the wall or taking the rest of the system offline.
All DVQ models run at 3840Hz. At lower refresh rates (below 1920Hz), cameras capture visible banding and scan lines in footage. At 3840Hz the display photographs cleanly at any shutter speed. Retail environments film product launches and customer activations. Broadcast studios record every session. The DVQ handles both without post-production correction.
Standard common anode panels feed all colour channels from one shared positive voltage, over-supplying the red channel because red LEDs need less voltage than green or blue. Common cathode supplies each channel its own precise voltage, eliminating the waste in the red channel. Result: up to 30% lower power consumption at equal brightness. For a large installation running 24/7, the difference shows up on the electricity bill every month.
The DVQ Series holds CE, ETL, and FCC certifications. The die-cast aluminum cabinet also meets CLASS A EMI standards. This clears the DVQ for financial services, healthcare, government, and broadcast AV environments where electromagnetic interference requirements are enforced.
